Kimberly Meltzer, Trustee - Clinton Township 2004
Trustee, Kimberly D. Meltzer grew up in Marysville, and attended and graduated from Marysville High School where she was involved in track and field. Living in a highly competitive sports community she represented both the United States and Canada in competitive figure skating. She has been employed as the Fitness Director for the Mt. Clemens Ice Arena and Fitness Center, as well as a Legal Secretary where she was involved in complex litigation with an environmental defense firm. She was elected to the Township Board in November 2000. In addition to her duties as a Trustee, Kim also serves on several committees being Parks & Recreation, Bike/Hike Path, Cultural Diversity - where she acts as the Board liaison, Sanitary Sewer & Communications, and as an alternate on the Budget/Ways & Means Committee. She also works with the Gratiot Cruise Committee and the South Gratiot Business Owners Association and the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. Kim served on the Yasu-Cho fundraising Committee helping to raise funds for the Clinton Township/Yasu-Cho Sister City 10th Anniversary gift to Yasu-Cho, Japan.
In addition, Kimberly has also served the community as a member of the Board of Directors of the YMCA, United States Figure Skating Association Board Officer, as well as serving as secretary for Redeemer Missionary Church. She is a member of the Optimist Club, Goodfellows and the Selfridge Air National Guard Community Base Council. Kim received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Wayne State University. She and her husband Clarence reside in Clinton Township with their three children.
